Mechanical Design Engineer
About Us:
Virtual Polymer Compounds is a custom fiberglass design, manufacturing and repair company located in Medina, NY.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include working with the Operations Manager and
Sales Team to provide product specifications and drawings for
submittal to customer; work with the Production Manager and VPC
Team to develop and manufacture new products from fiberglass;
source and order components for fabrication from steel
fabricators and provide detail drawings along with standard
parts; discuss ongoing projects, manufacturing techniques, and
answer questions from customers and engineers.
Qualifications:
- 4-year degree in related field
- Minimum of two years experience with 2D AutoCAD Software
- Working knowledge of Pro/Engineer or other parametric modeling
software
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- FEA experience
- Experience with jig and mold design for use in fiberglass
manufacturing
- Experience with sourcing and ordering components for fabrication from steel fabricators and providing detail drawings

E&E is presently working on projects that implement the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and remediation of hazardous waste sites throughout the northeast and around the world. We are seeking an experienced Civil or Environmental Engineer for our corporate office in Lancaster, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direction and coordination of engineers, drafters, technicians, and others, including scientists, assisting in specific assignments
- Perform/direct/review complex design calculations and cost estimates
- Develop specifications and produce design plans and details for moderate to complex designs
- Plan and perform technical work requiring judgment and independent evaluation
- Computer modeling of surface and groundwater systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- 15 or more years of relevant project experience
- Experience in wastewater treatment and permit requirements
- Experience with construction, design and management of wastewater treatment plants (including change orders) preferred
- Professional Engineer certification required; NY preferred
- Demonstrated ability to successfully plan and perform technical work
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to travel to support company project needs

We are seeking a motivated Civil/ Environmental Engineer provide key support for our sediment management and remediation service. The successful candidate will work at our corporate office in Lancaster, NY.
Responsibilities:- Project Management
- Lead and/or participate in a wide range of studies and design projects involving ecosystem restoration, contaminated sediments and remediation
- Develop and maintain relationships with clients
- Provide technical direction and QA to technical staff
- Support business development efforts and proposal writing/cost estimating
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
- Professional Engineer certification
- 10+ years of relevant project management experience
- Ability to travel to support company project needs
- Experience with sediment investigation, sediment transport modeling, and remedial design and the construction of dredging and coastal restoration projects
- Experience in dealing with clients and managing project teams
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Prior interaction with both state and federal-level regulatory agencies (i.e. USACE, USEPA, etc); experience with USEPA preferred.
- Experience within Great Lakes, New York and east coast preferred
